A lifelong student of culture, leadership and behavior, Cedar was inspired during her graduate studies at Harvard University by outstanding leaders like current Supreme Court Justice Elena Kagan and legendary Kennedy School Dean Joe Nye.

Her decade at athenahealth, the fast-paced high-tech healthcare firm ranked Most Innovative Growth Company by Forbes and led by dynamic thought leaders Jonathan Bush and Ed Park, led to a wealth of strategic cultural infrastructure. Working with a talented executive team, Cedar co-created athena’s global competency model and helped develop athena’s first in-house professional development program. Cedar also helped found and ran the company’s first corporate citizenship and integrated philanthropy program, athenaGives, still in existence with 400+ clinics on free EHRs. Her personal goal: athenistas having meaningful connections to the mission.
Consulting
With a passion for designing workplaces that attract, retain, and continuously develop a highly skilled and growth-oriented workforce, resulting in improved shareholder value and bottom-line results, Cedar went on to found her own consulting service, Charlesbank Consulting. She concurrently served as senior consultant with Ibis Consulting Group, working with the world’s largest technology companies and most prestigious universities.
Education
She’s a Leadership Circle Profile™ Certified Coach, a Zappos Insights™ Certified Culture Revolutionary, trained by the Coaches Training Institute (CTI) and Interaction Associates Facilitative Leadership, and holds an Ed.M. from Harvard University.
